How to deal with OST corruption in MS Outlook?

OST or simply put Offline Storage Table is a storage file belonging to Microsoft Outlook. The basic function of a OST is to facilitate the users to make them continue working even if the internet connection gets disabled for some reason. Now, when the OST gets corrupted you cannot write mails and store in drafts. Neither read and delete mails, that will be automatically updated when you go online. The main problem or what the corrupt condition of OST triggers is the non-ability to update the online outlook Inbox, with the work done offline. It also is the reason why you find some of the files and mails missing. Fixing this problem needs few easy steps to be adhered.

Mentioned below are the points that will help you sail through the problem.
Firstly, if you suspect an error or corrupt state of the OST, then immediately go for accessing the OST Integrity Check tool (Scanost.exe).
Second step would be to immediately terminate the program MS Outlook before you get on with the process of repairing the OST’s corrupt status.
Third, you need to double click the option where it reads Open Scanost.exe, to open it. You should be able to locate the file in the default location.
Fourth step would be to choose the account that needs to be repaired. In case you have more than one Outlook accounts, the repair process will conform which account needs to be adhered to with the problem solving.

Fifth, now the process will require you to connect to whatever the system is demanding. As in, an offline status or an online status, whichever is suitable.
Sixth, check and then choose which option you will select.
Seventh, you will see the option of “Repair Errors”, which you need to check in the check box that shows on the screen. This will in turn trigger the scanning process that meanwhile resolves errors too.
Lastly, you can click on the option “Begin Scan”.
If in case these steps don’t work, you need to consider taking the help of a third party device. Download the best tool that is available on the internet and set things right within seconds. The best thing about third party tools is their ability to recover lost and deleted files too.
